Facebook can’t prove worker shortage

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s FWD.us is pushing for an expansion of H-1B visas for foreign tech workers to fill a skills gap that threatens the competitiveness of the tech sector. However, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence to suggest that not only is there not a shortage of American workers for these jobs, but H-1B visa workers are stagnating the wages in these high-tech jobs. Oppose Obama’s amnesty

I, along with the 18 million Americans unable to find a full-time job, am pleased that President Obama has decided to delay the implementation of his executive amnesty. However, his decision to carry on with amnestying millions of illegal aliens after the election is extremely disheartening. I hope you will use the next two months to tell President Obama that an amnesty would harm America’s unemployed and underemployed.

Poll Shows Opposition to Executive Amnesty, Support for Enforcement

A new Politico article highlights a poll which shows that Democratic voters are supportive of H.R. 5272, the House-passed legislation to stop President Obama’s executive amnesty actions, but are against S. 744, the Senate-passed Gang of Eight amnesty.
