Oppose Cuellar/Cornyn border bill

The bill introduced by Rep. Henry Cuellar and Sen. John Cornyn to combat the border crisis would weaken current law while only addressing a small part of the problem. The bill is nothing more than a shiny object that will ultimately detract blame from President Obama and his failure to enforce existing laws. Please oppose this bill and instead apply pressure on the administration to secure the border and enforce our laws using the tools already at their disposal.

Children pour across border looking for amnesty

Border Patrol estimates that more than 90,000 unaccompanied children from Central America will make the dangerous trek to enter the United States illegally this year. This could end up being a crisis of epic proportion, and it’s all due to our nation’s failure to enforce federal immigration laws, while providing protections for those already here illegally.

Big business bragging that amnesty vote imminent

I was appalled to learn that Reps. Paul Ryan, Mick Mulvaney, and Mario Diaz-Balart are about to do an informal whip count on moving immigration legislation. If this goes well, it is expected that the House Republican leadership will join their skulduggery and hold an official whip count and hopefully hold comprehensive amnesty votes before August. I cannot understand why these Representatives would go behind the backs of their Republican colleagues and do something that, in the long rung, would harm all Americans.
