I am a California voter who wants you to block passage of SB 54. Preventing police from communicating with ICE about criminal aliens is dangerous and violates federal law. Police may not know what convictions or other offenses are on a person’s record, or who that person really is, unless they communicate with ICE. Do not play politics with our safety and well being.

The most outrageous worker importation bill ever

Sen. Ron Johnson’s new legislation, the State Sponsored Visa Pilot Program of 2017, is a travesty on so many levels. Importing 500,000 foreign workers each year will directly harm the more than 9 million Americans who cannot find a full-time job and make it much more unlikely that any of the 95 million Americans outside the labor force will return to it. To make matters worse, the spouses and children of these new foreign workers would receive work permits, adding hundreds of thousands of additional new workers.

Punish ‘sanctuary cities’

Our American way of life is threatened by the influx of illegal aliens into the United States. Once here, many of them engage in further criminal activities, including drunk driving, drug use and dealing, robbery, assault, rape, identity theft, kidnapping, sex trafficking, and even murder and terrorism. Regardless of further criminal behavior, their very presence increases the strain on our already-taxed infrastructure, including roads, justice system, water supplies, traffic, and medical facilities, and their children have all but destroyed our education system.
