Voters support Jordan Commission recommendations

I hope you will study the recommendations made by the Jordan Commission on Immigration Reform before voting on immigration bills during the 115th Congress. The commission, headed by civil rights activist Barbara Jordan and endorsed by then-President Bill Clinton, recommended that immigration laws be enforced and immigration levels be reduced to secure our nation and improve the lives of all Americans.

Push for interior enforcement

We cannot understand why Congress and the Obama administration are not requiring federal agencies to enforce immigration laws and not requiring states and localities to assist in enforcing the law. The tragic shooting death of Kate Steinle by a five-times deported illegal alien could have been prevented if the laws currently on the books were enforced. Please support and help to pass H.R. 1148, the Davis-Oliver Act. This bill would outlaw sanctuary cities and require all immigration laws to be enforced.
