Pass H.R. 569 to close the birth tourism loophole
Birth tourism has become a national security vulnerability that Congress can no longer ignore. Foreign nationals — including those from adversarial nations — travel to the United States specifically to give birth, obtaining U.S. citizenship for children who are then raised overseas with no connection to this country. These children hold genuine U.S. documents and may one day access sensitive government positions, security clearances, and defense contracts based solely on a citizenship they obtained through a loophole.
