In light of the facts presented in the ad featuring T. Willard Fair that is currently running in the Washington Post and Roll Call, I hope you will oppose any guestworker-amnesty plan.

According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the hiring of low-skilled immigrants is responsible for 40 percent of the decline in employment among Black American men.

This is reason enough to oppose any plan to import millions of new foreign workers and to oppose any plan to reward current illegal aliens with jobs and legal status.

Please keep the plight of Black Americans in mind as you decide whether or not to support amnesty.
