Houston schools cancel NRA safety program after discovering NRA connection

School principal (not principle) Carlotta Brown appeared with an NRA spokesman to express her delight with the NRA’s long-standing Eddie the Eagle firearms safety presentation. Shortly thereafter, she cancelled it because she had learned that the presentation was crafted by the NRA!

The program, according to the NRA, typically involves its Eddie the Eagle mascot in costume, delivering this message to kids who may come across guns: Stop! Don’t touch. Leave the area. Tell an adult. Clearly, this is not a message to which Brown wants kids exposed.

Texas to keep Planned Parenthood in health program — for now

Guess it’s OK, as even fetuses who technically go to school aren’t registered.
