End sanctuary cities
I cannot understand why Congress and the Obama administration are not requiring federal agencies to enforce immigration laws and not requiring states and localities to assist in enforcing the law. The tragic shooting death of an innocent San Francisco woman by a five-times deported illegal alien could have been prevented if the laws currently on the books were enforced. Please support and help to pass H.R. 1148, the Davis-Oliver Act. This bill would outlaw sanctuary cities and require all immigration laws to be enforced.

Stop Obama’s unfair, illegal-alien tax credits
I was appalled to hear IRS Commissioner John Koskinen confirm that illegal aliens who receive amnesty through Pres. Obama’s executive actions would be eligible to receive tax credits from previous years. The administration continues to sell the president’s executive actions as simply a “relief from deportation,” but Commissioner Koskinen’s statement proves that it’s much more than that.

Stop Obama Administration program paying to relocate illegal aliens
I was outraged to learn that the Obama administration is using taxpayer dollars to bring the children of illegal aliens to the United States. This simply encourages illegal immigration and I urge you to work to defund it.

Disney forces tech workers to train H-1B replacements
A recent New York Times report highlights the stories of laid-off tech workers who have been forced to train their foreign-worker, H-1B replacements. I urge you to oppose increases in H-1B visas and instead help stop this ongoing and disturbing trend.

Cosponsor H.R. 2278 to end the visa lottery
The visa lottery no longer meets the needs of U.S. immigration policy and harms the job prospects of unemployed Americans. With this in mind we hope you will cosponsor the bipartisan H.R. 2278, which would end this program.

Combat the push to increase H-1B numbers
A paper recently published by the BLS is misleading and leaves out key details about one of the authors and the data sources used. I hope you will take into account that one of the authors works for one of the biggest H-1B users and that the main data source for the paper has a vested interest in increasing H-1B numbers.

Oppose S. 955
I urge you to oppose S. 955, the bill that would grant fast-track trade authority to Pres. Obama. I believe Congress should retain its power to review and amend any trade agreement that the United States enters into, and by granting Pres. Obama fast-track authority, Congress would be giving up that power.

House must strip DACA language from Armed Services Funding Bill
I cannot understand how the House Armed Services Committee — a committee on which you serve — voted to endorse the DACA amnesty as part of the NDAA. Please make sure the military amnesty amendments are not in the final bill.

Stop paying to relocate illegal aliens

Sen. Sessions calls for lower immigration levels
Chairman of the Senate’s immigration subcommittee, Sen. Jeff Sessions, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post calling for “an honest discussion of immigration” and its effects on American workers and their families. I agree that it is time for Congress to have this discussion and work to stem the tide of the hundreds of thousands of immigrants to work jobs that millions of Americans need to have.

Illegal aliens’ crimes expose Obama’s illegal amnesty
A new Washington Times article by Stephen Dinan highlights the dangers of Barack Obama’s failed — and illegal — immigration policies:
-
House needs to get behind birthright citizenship legislation
Passing the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2015 is key to stopping the flow of illegal aliens across our borders. While the United States continues to grant citizenship to the children of illegal aliens, illegal aliens will still have an incentive to risk their lives in an attempt to come to this country illegally. I urge you, for the sake of all involved, to cosponsor H.R. 140, the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2015.

House Armed Services Committee backs DACA
It is disappointing that the Gallego amendment to the NDAA passed. Thank you for voting against it and voting against the president’s DACA amnesty.

High immigration caused middle class wages to drop
The Congressional Research Service has tied falling middle class wages to increased immigration numbers and Congress has done nothing to address this very serious problem. Reducing immigration numbers to sensible levels would increase middle class wages and I urge you to push for legislation that would make this happen.

Congress must prevent fast track for Pacific free trade deal
President Obama must not given fast track authority (TPA) for the TransPacific Partnership (TPP). The potential ramifications for American workers are far too great for the Congress to be prevented from having sufficient debate of the free trade agreement and the ability to amend it. I urge you not to give President Obama this authority.

Mulvaney resolution opposes Obama’s amnesties
I am glad that you voted against the revised DHS funding bill that stripped amnesty defunding language from the legislation. Please continue to stick up for jobless Americans, the rule of law, and our nation’s security by cosponsoring H. Con. Res. 28, introduced by Rep. Mick Mulvaney, which expresses the sense of Congress that President Obama’s amnesties are illegal and were not approved by Congress through passage of H.R. 240.
-
Thanks for opposing Obama’s illegal executive amnesty
Thank you for voting against the revised DHS funding bill. Leaving the funding for the president’s amnesties in tact is the same as supporting amnesty.

Thanks for cosponsoring legislation to mandate E-Verify
We are glad you cosponsored the Legal Workforce Act, H.R. 1147. This bill provides for a sensible phase-in of mandatory use of the E-Verify system and will help combat identity fraud. With 18 million Americans unable to find a full-time job and millions more suffering from the ramifications of a stolen identity, this legislation is truly important. Thank you for cosponsoring it.
