Mulvaney resolution opposes Obama’s amnesties
I am glad that you voted against the revised DHS funding bill that stripped amnesty defunding language from the legislation. Please continue to stick up for jobless Americans, the rule of law, and our nation’s security by cosponsoring H. Con. Res. 28, introduced by Rep. Mick Mulvaney, which expresses the sense of Congress that President Obama’s amnesties are illegal and were not approved by Congress through passage of H.R. 240.
-
Thanks for opposing Obama’s illegal executive amnesty
Thank you for voting against the revised DHS funding bill. Leaving the funding for the president’s amnesties in tact is the same as supporting amnesty.
-
Thanks for cosponsoring legislation to mandate E-Verify
We are glad you cosponsored the Legal Workforce Act, H.R. 1147. This bill provides for a sensible phase-in of mandatory use of the E-Verify system and will help combat identity fraud. With 18 million Americans unable to find a full-time job and millions more suffering from the ramifications of a stolen identity, this legislation is truly important. Thank you for cosponsoring it.

Stop Obama’s illegal executive amnesties
I am very pleased that U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Hanen has decided that President Obama cannot, for the moment, follow through on his plans to break the law by unilaterally granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. I hope Congress will use this opportunity to bring immigration policy back to Congress by passing legislation stopping the president’s actions.
-
Shame on you for supporting Obama’s illegal executive amnesty
Your decision to attach our state’s support to efforts to overturn Judge Andrew Hanen’s ruling against President Obama’s executive amnesties is appalling. Why are you in favor of the president’s amnesties when their implementation would keep millions of American workers out of a job?
-
Shame on you for funding Obama’s illegal executive amnesty
We cannot understand why you voted in favor of the Senate’s DHS funding bill that strips out the amnesty defunding language from the House’s version. Don’t you care that jobless Americans will have to compete against millions of amnestied illegal aliens for jobs?

Please cosponsor legislation to end birthright citizenship
An op-ed in a recent edition of USA Today explains how birthright citizenship loopholes are exploited by illegal workers and tourists, and lead to more unemployed citizens and legal immigrant workers. I hope you will read this editorial and act to change the current (unacceptable) situation by cosponsoring Rep. Steve King’s H.R. 140.

Illegals do NOT have the right to work
Please ensure that Loretta Lynch understands that immigration laws exist to protect a country’s workers. And ask her to pledge that she will enforce immigration laws passed by Congress so that Americans don’t have to compete for jobs with foreign citizens who have overstayed visitor visas or crossed our borders illegally.
-
Help end chain migration
It would help all unemployed Americans if you were to cosponsor Rep. Jody Hice’s Nuclear Family Priority Act (H.R. 604).
-
Help abolish birthright citizenship
Birthright citizenship is an outdated practice that lures foreign nationals to the United States so their unborn children can become U.S. citizens. Please work to end this policy that most industrialized nations have already abandoned.

Thanks for voting YES on Defunding President Obama’s Executive Amnesty
Thank you for voting in favor of the Blackburn and Aderholt amendments that defund Obama’s amnesties and protect American workers. This is only the first step. I hope you’ll continue to fight until this becomes law.
-
Representatives Need to Support Aderholt and Blackburn Amendments to DHS Bill
We hope you will vote in favor of the Aderholt and Blackburn amendments to the DHS spending bill. Defunding the president’s executive amnesties is a top priority and these amendments will do a lot to achieve that goal.

Community Colleges
Steve Williams makes some good points in his evaluation of Barack Obama’s plan to provide free tuition at the junior college level (“Our Opinion: Another ‘free’ lunch,” January 11th). However, there are additional arguments against this proposal.

Support H.R. 191: Repeal Executive Amnesty
Rep. Robert Aderholt has just introduced H.R. 191, the Repeal Executive Amnesty Act of 2015, which would not only defund President Obama’s executive actions to grant amnesty and work permits to millions of illegal aliens, but also reverse a number of executive actions taken by the Administration over the last several years. I urge you to tell GOP Leadership to include Rep. Aderholt’s bill in the upcoming DHS Appropriations bill.

Republicans must take concrete action to stop Obama’s amnesty
I realize that you want to express your concern for President Obama’s decision to unilaterally amnesty millions of illegal aliens. However, proposing or backing standalone legislation that denounces, or even defunds, the amnesty will simply not work. The only possible way to stop the president’s illegal actions is to defund the amnesty in the DHS appropriations bill. Please focus all your attentions there.

Poll shows strong voter support to defund Obama’s amnesty
I want to make you aware of a recent poll of Republican voters. “The People’s Poll” found that an overwhelming majority of Republican voters, not only oppose President Obama’s executive actions granting amnesty and work permits to millions of illegal aliens, but will not reelect Members of Congress who fund it. I urge you to side with those who elected you by defunding President Obama’s amnesty.
