Thank you for your administration’s decision to rescind the DAPA program and the extended DACA program that were put in place by President Obama. While it is disappointing that any president would actively seek to subvert U.S. law and the will of Congress, I am glad that you have made sure that they will not take effect.

Veto S.B. 54
I am a California voter who wants you to veto S.B. 54 if it reaches your desk. As Attorney General, you opposed sanctuary cities because you understood the dangers posed by criminal aliens. Those dangers have grown and S.B. 54 would further shield them from capture and deportation.

It’s time for House Leadership to act on Davis-Oliver
A few weeks ago, the House Judiciary Committee has approved H.R. 2431, the Davis-Oliver Act, that would strengthen interior enforcement. This critical piece of legislation is badly needed to ensure that the Executive Branch upholds its duty to enforce federal immigration laws.

Veto any spending bills that don’t fund your enforcement priorities
I urge you to not sign any relevant spending legislation that does not fund the border requests listed in the White House’s FY2018 proposed budget. For too long, the federal government has ignored border security, and I’m confident that the results of your request for funding would reduce illegal immigration at the border and strengthen national security.

Don’t increase H-2B visas
We are writing to express our concerns with the increase in H-2B visas for FY2017 authorized by Congress through the Omnibus appropriations bill last month. There is simply no evidence of a labor shortage, especially among the most vulnerable American workers, to necessitate this increase.

Reduce legal immigration
I was concerned by your recent statements to the Economist where you said that you did not want to reduce legal immigration levels. These statements contradict your Joint Address to Congress when you said, “Protecting our workers also means reforming our system of legal immigration. The current, outdated system depresses wages for our poorest workers, and puts great pressure on taxpayers.”

The most outrageous worker importation bill ever
Sen. Ron Johnson’s new legislation, the State Sponsored Visa Pilot Program of 2017, is a travesty on so many levels. Importing 500,000 foreign workers each year will directly harm the more than 9 million Americans who cannot find a full-time job and make it much more unlikely that any of the 95 million Americans outside the labor force will return to it. To make matters worse, the spouses and children of these new foreign workers would receive work permits, adding hundreds of thousands of additional new workers.

Support H.R. 193
As long as the United States is a member of the United Nations, our Constitutional rights are in danger. Even if we do not actively participate in totalitarian schemes like their “Arms Trade Treaty” (ATT), maintaining our membership in the U.N. makes it easier for any future President to push for ratification of the ATT or sign us onto the next anti-gun treaty.

NO to H-2B increases!
The new omnibus unveiled by the House Appropriations Committee calls for increases in the number of H-2B visas issued every year. I urge you to strip this provision out before it comes to the floor for a vote.

It is disappointing that some of your colleagues are pushing for returning H-2B visa holders to be exempted from the H-2B cap as part of the new spending bill. If they are successful, young and less-educated Americans who depend on these jobs will find be more likely to join the ranks of the permanently unemployed. Please do all you can to ensure that the next spending bill does not increase H-2B numbers.

Punish ‘sanctuary cities’
Our American way of life is threatened by the influx of illegal aliens into the United States. Once here, many of them engage in further criminal activities, including drunk driving, drug use and dealing, robbery, assault, rape, identity theft, kidnapping, sex trafficking, and even murder and terrorism. Regardless of further criminal behavior, their very presence increases the strain on our already-taxed infrastructure, including roads, justice system, water supplies, traffic, and medical facilities, and their children have all but destroyed our education system.

Stop healthcare plan from giving tax credits to illegal aliens
I know that Congressional Republicans are working on an Obamacare replacement. However, I am very disappointed with the GOP’s replacement legislation because it would allow illegal aliens to receive healthcare tax credits. I hope you will oppose any healthcare overhaul until it an be guaranteed that stringent verification measures are in place.
