• Help President Trump defend our Second Amendment rights

As your constituent, I ask that you fight to defend, advance, and secure my freedom, as required by your oath of office.

  • Please vote to confirm Neil Gorsuch

I urge you to reject any filibuster of the Neil Gorsuch nomination — and to vote for him as the Court’s next Supreme Court Justice.

  • Don’t increase H-2B visas

It is disappointing that some of your colleagues are pushing for returning H-2B visa holders to be exempted from the H-2B cap as part of the new spending bill. If they are successful, young and less-educated Americans who depend on these jobs will find be more likely to join the ranks of the permanently unemployed. Please do all you can to ensure that returning H-2B workers are not exempted from the visa cap.

  • Block sanctuary legislation

I am a California voter who wants you to block passage of S.B. 54. Preventing police from communicating with ICE about criminal aliens is dangerous and violates federal law. Police may not know what convictions or other offenses are on a person’s record, or who that person really is, unless they communicate with ICE. Do not play politics with our safety and well being.

  • Punish ‘sanctuary cities’

Our American way of life is threatened by the influx of illegal aliens into the United States. Once here, many of them engage in further criminal activities, including drunk driving, drug use and dealing, robbery, assault, rape, identity theft, kidnapping, sex trafficking, and even murder and terrorism. Regardless of further criminal behavior, their very presence increases the strain on our already-taxed infrastructure, including roads, justice system, water supplies, traffic, and medical facilities, and their children have all but destroyed our education system.

  • Stop healthcare plan from giving tax credits to illegal aliens

I know that Congressional Republicans are working on an Obamacare replacement. However, I am very disappointed with the GOP’s replacement legislation because it would allow illegal aliens to receive healthcare tax credits. I hope you will oppose any healthcare overhaul until it an be guaranteed that stringent verification measures are in place.

  • Reduce immigration back to traditional levels

America’s current immigration levels are far too high. Please work to reduce current immigration levels to fall in line with traditional levels.

  • No healthcare for illegal aliens

The House Republicans’ decision to replace Obamacare with a a government-run health care exchange that benefits illegal aliens defies all logic. Illegal aliens should not receive any handouts from American taxpayers and I urge you to oppose the GOP’s Obamacare overhaul until stringent verification measures are put in place to prevent illegal aliens from receiving healthcare tax credits or subsidies.

  • Cotton bill would end chain migration and visa lottery

Sen. Cotton is introducing legislation, the Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment (RAISE) Act, that would end chain migration and the visa lottery. Most immigrants who come through these two categories are lower-skilled and compete for jobs with America’s most vulnerable workers. Please support American workers and their wages by cosponsoring this bill.

  • Abolish birthright citizenship for illegal aliens

Birthright citizenship is an outdated practice that lures foreign nationals to the United States so their unborn children can become U.S. citizens. Please work to end this policy that most industrialized nations have already abandoned.

  • Pass mandatory E-Verify

Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security John Kelly issued two memos today that cleared out most of the rubbish of past Administration internal memos and basically declared that federal law enforcement officers are now free to apply any law that Congress passed to discourage illegal immigration.

  • End chain migration and visa lottery

The last bipartisan commission for immigration reform, chaired by the civil rights icon Barbara Jordan, recommended ending chain migration and the visa lottery to protect vulnerable American workers and their wages. Sen. Tom Cotton has legislation, S. 354, that would make those recommendations a reality. I urge you to cosponsor this bill and support an immigration system that serves the interest of all Americans.

  • Trump’s Executive Order enhances national security and establishes refugee limits

President Trump’s Jan. 27 executive order strengthens national security and establishes limits for the refugee resettlement program. Both actions were highlighted during Donald Trump’s August campaign speech on immigration, and the American people responded by electing him president. I ask that you set aside the misinformation that’s been reported since the order was signed and support these sensible actions.

  • Mandate E-Verify, end chain migration

During the GOP’s upcoming policy retreat in Philadelphia, I urge you and your fellow Republicans to make mandating use of the E-Verify system and ending chain migration legislative priorities, as doing so would fulfill GOP campaign promises to stand up for American workers.

  • Immigration policy should benefit American workers

Please work with President Trump to fulfill his goal of improving the lives of all Americans. I am confident that Congress can work in a non-partisan manner to make this happen.

  • End chain migration and the visa lottery

The U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform, created by President Bill Clinton and chaired by civil rights activist and former U.S. Representative Barbara Jordan, concluded that immigration was too high and that immigration numbers need to be lowered to serve the national interest. The commission also stressed that immigration numbers need to be reduced to protect American workers. New legislation, the Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act, will soon be introduced by Sen. Tom Cotton and would fulfill two of the key recommendations of the Jordan Commission: ending the visa lottery and ending chain migration. Passing this legislation into law would help to fulfill the recommendations of the commission by ending the visa lottery and ending chain migration. Please cosponsor this legislation when it is introduced and help to get it passed into law.

  • Cosponsor mandatory E-Verify legislation

I hope you will cosponsor and support the S. 179, Sen. Grassley’s legislation to mandate use of the E-Verify system. This bill provides for a sensible phase-in of mandatory use of the E-Verify system and will help combat identity fraud. With millions of Americans unable to find a full-time job this legislation is truly important.

  • Congress needs to pass E-Verify to end illegal immigration

I am ecstatic that the Trump administration has issued executive orders to help reform and repair our nation’s broken immigration system. These executive orders fully or partially deal with 6 of NumbersUSA’s “10 Steps to Fix Our Broken Immigration-Enforcement System.” In addition to passing legislation to support these executive actions, I urge you and your colleagues to pass legislation to mandate use of the E-Verify system.

  • Confirm Senator Sessions for Attorney General

Please vote in favor of Sen. Sessions’ nomination for the post of Attorney General. Sen. Sessions has consistently expressed a desire to uphold the law and to make sure our nation’s laws are enforced. He will make a fine attorney general and I urge you to vote to approve his nomination.
