Support Trump’s call for mandatory E-Verify and ending chain migration
The White House has released a set of immigration principles that would increase border security, strengthen interior enforcement, including a requirement for all employers to use E-Verify, and reform the current green card system, including an end to chain migration.

My ‘amnesty’ proposal
While I appreciate your 70-point immigration proposal, I have to say I am still opposed to any amnesty for Dreamers or anyone else currently here illegally.
-
Support the RAISE Act
I urge you to support the new RAISE Act introduced by Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue. Recent polling has found that 72% of American voters support a key element of their bill which would eliminate extended family immigration.
-
Pass the RAISE Act
Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue have introduced a new version of the RAISE Act that would protect American workers and their wages from the massive influx of low-skilled immigration. I urge you to support American workers by supporting this legislation!
-
No amnesty for enforcement
I expect you to oppose the SUCCEED Act any effort to trade amnesty for immigration enforcement — it’s simply not enough and won’t stop illegal immigration!
-
Mandatory E-Verify would shut off the jobs magnet and help end illegal immigration
Please pass legislation that would require all employers to use E-Verify. Mandating E-Verify will prevent illegal aliens from finding jobs and help Americans get back to work.
-
No amnesty
It is the duty and responsibility of the President and Congress to enforce our immigration laws. I am opposed to any attempt to trade enforcement for amnesty for the so-called dreamers to compete and take jobs from Americans and those here legally. We tried this trade in 1986 and the result is the 12+ million illegal aliens currently in the United States. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now.

Please consider these amendments to the H.R. 3354 spending bill
The H.R. 3354 minibus spending bill would provide funding for the Departments of Homeland Security, State, Agriculture, Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, among others. Several Members of Congress have offered immigration amendments that impact issues ranging from E-Verify to immigration enforcement.

Don’t sign the Coffman Discharge Petition
Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Colo.) announced last week that he will start a Discharge Petition in the House to force a floor vote on his BRIDGE Act that would make Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) permanent — the unconstitutional Obama executive amnesty that allows younger illegal aliens to receive work permits.

A modest proposal for Google and Facebook
Google, Facebook, and other Silicone Valley tech companies have been under fire lately for paying employees differently based on their value to the company, and for not hiring sub-standard persons to work for them.
-
Oppose the Graham-Durbin DREAM amnesty
I, along with the vast majority of your constituents, oppose the DREAM Act amnesty. Please oppose this legislation offered by Senators Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin.
-
Ensure border funding is approved
I urge you to not sign any relevant spending legislation that does not fund the border requests listed in the White House’s FY2018 proposed budget. For too long, the federal government has ignored border security, and I’m confident that the President’s request for funding would reduce illegal immigration at the border and strengthen national security.
-
Support the sanctuary city bill
I urge you to support the recently-passed House bill H.R. 3003 (which would end sanctuary cities) if it reaches the Senate floor for a vote.
-
Don’t allow DACA illegal aliens to compete with Americans for government jobs
The House Appropriations Committee approved an amendment to the Financial Services spending bill that would allow DACA recipients to compete with American workers for Federal jobs. So much for Congress putting American workers first!

Ban all utility-scale renewable energy projects
I am strongly in favor of protecting the human, economic and environmental values of our desert communities. Therefore I support a Renewable Energy and Conservation Element of the General Plan that restricts utility-scale renewable energy projects to the five severely degraded areas identified by the Board of Supervisors in its February 2016 Resolution to the BLM: Amboy, El Mirage, Hinkley, Kramer Junction, and Trona.
-
Vote to end sanctuary cities
I urge you to support the recently passed House bill, H.R. 3003 that would end sanctuary cities, if it reaches the Senate floor for a vote.
-
Oppose H-2B visa increases
I am disappointed that some of your Senate colleagues are pushing for an increase in H-2B numbers. As H-2B visas typically cover seasonal, entry-level, or unskilled jobs, these visas disproportionately harm young Americans. Increasing H-2B visa numbers would prevent thousands of more young Americans from entering the workplace.
-
Abolish birthright citizenship for illegal aliens
It is not fair for the children of illegal aliens to receive U.S. citizenship at birth. The rest of the industrialized world has moved past this archaic system and I hope you will work to end it by supporting legislation that ends Birthright Citizenship, so that America is able to move past it as well.

Thank you for cosponsoring H.R. 38
Thank you for cosponsoring H.R. 38, The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. Please talk with your fellow Members and encourage them to cosponsor it as well. Remind them that this is one of the most popular bills in the Congress.
