Please immediately stop the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Landlord Taskforce. Reduce the size of government, reduce the scope of government, and let the free market decide! If you think there are housing problems now, just wait until you force investors out of the rental market with moronic schemes such as this one.

Please implement the biometric entry-exit system

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released its FY 2017 Entry/Exit Overstay Report, which says that 701,900 foreign nationals overstayed their visa. The Washington Examiner notes the amount is greater than the number (526,901) who crossed the southwest border illegally that year.

Support mandatory E-Verify this summer!

It is really important that Congress pass legislation to mandate use of the E-Verify system. E-Verify is easy to use and has the highest satisfaction rates of any government program. Requiring employers to run new hires through E-Verify, as government contractors are already required to do, would prevent the hiring of illegal aliens and make it very hard to remain in the country. If people know that employers are forced to run new hires through E-Verify, fewer people will come to the U.S. illegally in search of work.

E-Verify can act as a major deterrent for future illegal immigration. As long as employers are able to hire illegal workers, foreign nationals will continue to attempt to enter the country illegally, either through illegal border crossings or overstaying a visa.
