Focus on the real problems, not on the guns
In a national poll of our nation’s police officers, 81 percent say that teachers and school administrators need to be armed to stop tragedies such as the one happened in Florida recently.
-
Oppose all amnesties
I am asking you to oppose both the Susan Collins immigration proposal and the McCain/Coons immigration proposal. I am opposed to any and all amnesties, including DACA amnesty. We need to bolster border security, mandate E-Verify, end chain migration, end the visa lottery, stop taking refugees, and cut off the flow of guest workers. Please do everything you can to eliminate illegal immigration, and to reduce legal immigration to a tiny fraction of its current value.
-
No amnesty, no visa lottery, no chain migration
Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Chris Coons (D-Del.) have introduced legislation to amnesty “Dreamers” (not just DACA recipients), while only providing money for a border security study. This is clearly unacceptable. It is vital that we enforce our immigration laws, with means DACA recipients and “Dreamers” have to go.

Support Rep. Goodlatte’s Securing America’s Future Act
I urge you to cosponsor H.R. 4760, the Securing America’s Future Act. This commonsense legislation would give work permits and legal status to DACA recipients in exchange for ending chain migration and the visa lottery and mandating the use of the E-Verify system. This legislation would solve the current DACA problem and would make it more difficult for illegal aliens to future illegal aliens to remain in the United States.
-
Support Rep. Goodlatte’s H.R 4760
You promised on the campaign trail and then again in your State of the Union address that any deal on DACA needs to put the interests of American workers first. Unfortunately, the White House proposal wouldn’t accomplish this because it would take at least 15 years before there were significant reductions in legal immigration.
-
I support ending chain immigration and the visa lottery
I hope you will include an end to Chain Migration and the Visa Lottery as part of your DACA proposal. I also hope you will consider adding mandatory E-Verify to the deal.

Have you seen the latest Harvard-Harris poll?
I wanted to tell you about a new Harvard-Harris poll of registered voters. It found that:
-
Dueling headlines: Borders
“Former Mexican President: ‘We shouldn’t have a border’ at all”
-
Oppose the Graham-Durbin-Flake amnesty deal
The DACA amnesty “compromise” proposed by Sens. Durbin, Graham, and Flake is no compromise at all! It is simply a mass amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, with only token enforcement elements. To be specific, this mass amnesty proposal does not:
-
Check out the results of this new poll
I was heartened by the results of a new poll, which found that likely American voters overwhelmingly want to reform our immigration system to serve the national interest and work for the American people by ending Chain Migration.
-
Please sign the Budd Letter
Congressman Ted Budd (R-NC) is circulating a very important letter to the House leadership.
-
Oppose the $26 billion DREAM Act
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released its report on Sens. Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin’s S. 1615, the DREAM Act. The report shows that their legislation would add $26 billion to the deficit over a ten year period. According to the CBO:
-
Fund border security
I urge you to support spending legislation for FY18 that will fund border improvements along the southern border.
-
Abandon the DACA amnesty push
E-Verify must be mandated and chain migration must be ended before Congress can even consider passing an amnesty for DACA recipients.
-
Pass American LAWS Act
Rep. Dave Brat has introduced H.R. 4340, the American LAWS Act. This legislation would go a long way to solving some of our nation’s most pressing immigration problems and I feel it is imperative that you and your colleagues on the House Republican Leadership and on the House immigration task force do all you can to get this legislation passed. Passing H.R. 4340 would help these disadvantaged Americans by ending chain migration and the visa lottery and mandating the use of the E-Verify system.
-
No amnesty for DACA recipients
I hope you will do all you can to make sure you and your fellow Democrats do not shut down the government if the December spending bill doesn’t amnesty DACA recipients.
-
No amnesty for DACA recipients
It is vital that you and your fellow Republicans do not bow to pressure and include a DACA amnesty in the year-end spending bill. Doing so would set a dangerous precedent and encourage your pro-illegal alien colleagues to demand even larger amnesties. Moreover, Congress shouldn’t even consider an amnesty until the border is secured, E-Verify is mandated, and chain migration and the visa lottery are eliminated.
-
Cosponsor and pass H.R. 4340
There are far too many Americans who can’t find work. Unfortunately, many of these Americans are less-educated or lower-skilled and have far fewer job options than many Americans. Passing H.R. 4340 would help these disadvantaged Americans by ending chain migration and the visa lottery and mandating the use of the E-Verify system.
-
Support Trump’s immigration principles
I was very pleased to see President Trump’s list of immigration principles and I support each and every one. Foremost among these principles are mandating use of the E-Verify system and ending the chain migration.
-
Support Trump’s call for mandatory E-Verify and ending chain migration
The White House has released a set of immigration principles that would increase border security, strengthen interior enforcement, including a requirement for all employers to use E-Verify, and reform the current green card system, including an end to chain migration.
