Thank you for voting against amnesty
I am glad that you voted against the Goodlatte-Ryan-Denham amnesty. This bill would have only rewarded illegal aliens and exacerbated our nation’s illegal immigration problem. Instead of learning from the mistakes of the 1986 amnesty, this bill would have repeated its mistakes by guaranteeing an amnesty for illegal aliens but only promising border security and enforcement.
-
Support immigration enforcement
- Ending enforcement of immigration laws would harm vulnerable Americans the most
-
Push Congress to mandate E-Verify
Please push for mandatory E-Verify!
-
Most voters want immigration cuts
Americans want to cut immigration. The polls show this. Any immigration bill coming out of the House has to make deep cuts in immigration numbers next year and 10 years from now.”
-
Mandatory E-Verify would shut off the jobs magnet and help end illegal immigration
I hope I can count on you to support legislation that requires all employers to use E-Verify. With 15 million Americans unable to find a full-time job and millions more suffering from the ramifications of a stolen identity, passing E-Verify is the single best action you can take to end illegal hiring and turn off the jobs magnet.

Vote no on the Goodlatte-Ryan-Denham Amnesty bill
Despite the fact that Republicans campaigned against amnesty and for putting the interests of American workers first, a small group of Republicans is attempting to force the Republican Conference to violate their campaign promises in the middle of a border crisis.
-
Please oppose the Goodlatte-Ryan-Denham amnesty bill (H.R. 6136)
In October of last year, the White House issued an extensive list of immigration principles. Among those principles were ending chain migration, mandating the use of E-Verify, fixing unaccompanied alien children and asylum loopholes, ending sanctuary cities, and improving interior enforcement. The President stated:
-
Oppose the Ryan amnesty!
Please oppose the Ryan Amnesty plan.
-
They’re funny because they’re true
8 YEARS, 3 ACCOMPLISHMENTS: MADE SCHOOL LUNCHES INEDIBLE, HEALTH INSURANCE UNAFFORDABLE AND POLICE LIVÉS UNIMPORTANT.
-
Do NOT to sign amnesty Discharge Petition
Please do not sign Discharge Petition for H.Res.774
-
Immigration policy sabotaged Earth Day
On this 49th Earth Day, the population of our country has passed 327 million … with no upper limit in sight.
-
E-Verify as a deterrent
E-Verify can act as a major deterrent for future illegal immigration. As long as employers are able to hire illegal workers, foreign nationals will continue to attempt to enter the country illegally, either through illegal border crossings or overstaying a visa.
-
You must stop the asylum-seeker caravan
I hope you are contemplating what can be done to prevent the caravan of Central American economic migrants from illegally entering the U.S. and claiming asylum.
-
Facebook and Google lied to us
Facebook and Google lied to us, and they must be stopped.
-
Opting out of sanctuary laws
I agree with the letter writer who suggested we contact our elected officials to urge them to opt out of California’s “sanctuary” status, much as Los Alamitos has already done in Orange County (Daily Press, Letters, March 27, 2018).
-
No DACA amnesty in the omnibus spending bill
I oppose any and all DACA amnesties. Thus, it is vital that neither you nor your fellow Republicans bow to pressure and include a DACA amnesty in the omnibus spending bill.
-
No DACA amnesty!
I hope you will oppose all efforts to attach a DACA amnesty to the omnibus spending bill.
-
No DACA amnesty!
I was disturbed to read in the Washington Post that you are open to DACA legislation that only provides for border wall funding. Securing the border is a good first step, but it does nothing to end the jobs magnet and does nothing to stop people overstaying their visas. A wall will stop many from coming to this country illegally, but some will still get past it and many will continue to come to the U.S. legally and overstay their visas.

Don’t use the Omnibus to pass anti-gun Fix NICS
Roll Call reports that congressmen are considering adding the anti-gun Fix NICS bill to the annual spending bill, called the “Omnibus.”
-
Oppose H-2B increases in spending bill
Members of Congress have used past spending bills to increase H-2B visas or to authorize DHS to increase H-2B visas. Please oppose any attempt at doing this in the upcoming spending bill.
