On World Wildlife Day, America is experiencing its own ‘biodiversity crisis’
Although March 3rd is World Wildlife Day, America is facing its own “biodiversity crisis.” Our nation now has more than 1,300 rare and endangered species, and the primary cause has been widespread habitat loss from activities such as timber harvesting, agriculture, and urban sprawl. All of this destruction has been driven by our population growth. What makes America unique among rapidly-growing countries is that our high growth in numbers is facilitated primarily through permissive immigration policies.

The promise of work permits encourages illegal immigration
Incentives matter. Migrants may be poor but they are just as capable as you or I of doing a cost-benefit analysis. Upon taking office, Resident Biden quickly signaled that illegal immigration would not just be tolerated, but celebrated. Congress piled on by promising rewards for illegal immigration, such as work permits.

Stop the madness. Reject Plan C in the budget reconciliation bill
It has been a painful few months hearing about the humanitarian crisis at the border, and I want to believe that you have good intentions. However, this feeling is fading in light of the poor decisions you are making with your immigration policies. I’m very hopeful that you will get things back on track and keep immigration out of the budget reconciliation bill.

Protect endangered species: Reduce immigration-driven population growth
Our country’s growing population played a role in the fate of the 23 species that have now been declared extinct. You must wake up to the fact that our environment doesn’t care about politics, and as long as Congress refuses to reduce immigration to a lower level, our population will continue to grow. This will thwart our ability to further protect threatened species and their habitats. I understand that this is a sensitive issue, but it is of utmost importance that prompt action is taken to maintain healthy ecosystems and biodiversity. This cannot be achieved if we constantly have to accommodate more people. Ninety percent of our projected population growth is due to immigration. You must reduce this number.

No more incentives for illegal immigration
Your misplaced “compassion” contributes to the border crisis. We need competency. As the worst border crisis in over 20 years continues, the Biden administration has announced new curbs on enforcement in the interior and the workplace, and Democrats in Congress are working on their third attempt to include rewards for illegal immigration in the budget reconciliation bill.

Lower emissions by lowering immigration-driven growth
To achieve a long-term reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, America must work toward population stabilization. This is a daunting goal because, as of today, the U.S. Census Bureau predicts that by 2060 America will grow by 79 million people, with roughly 90% due to immigration.

Keep your cotton-pickin’ hands off!
Let’s just forget this “build back better” nonsense. How about we try “put it back the way you found it and leave me the hell alone”?

Keep amnesty out of budget reconciliation
I am dismayed that some anti-American worker and anti-legal immigrant worker Democrats are calling on Sen. Schumer and Vice Resident Harris to ignore the Senate parliamentarian and include an illegal alien amnesty in the budget reconciliation bill. In case you forgot, the parliamentarian did not mince her words; she was unequivocal that passing an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens goes far beyond its simple budgetary impact and needs to be carefully considered by Congress in standalone legislation.

Federal policy is exacerbating Southwest water shortages.
In August, federal officials announced first-time cuts in water deliveries from the Colorado River to Arizona and Nevada. All while the population drawing upon the River is booming, as reported by The Salt Lake Tribune (10/7/21). Arizona, Colorado, and California gained 3.8 million people between 2010 and 2020. Nevada and Utah grew by almost a million. Yet the Census Bureau predicts America’s population will grow by another 75 million in the next 40 years, with roughly 90% of that attributable to unchecked immigration.

Amnesty will sink us: Oppose radical amnesty
Please read “Bill Clinton Saved His Presidency. Here’s How Biden Can, Too.” (The New York Times, November 8). Democrats Mark Penn (adviser to the Clintons) and Andrew Stein (former president of the New York City Council) have important advice for Democrats:
-
Amend unpopular immigration policies
New analysis from Democratic political consultant David Shor indicates that Democrats do worse when they talk about their preferred immigration policies.

Support S. 1522
Constitutional rights do not end at a state border, and states are required to give full faith and credit to legal permits from other states.
