As a candidate, you made numerous promises regarding illegal immigration, including building a wall. Clearly, you are not going to make good on that promise any time soon.
Thank you for your administration’s decision to rescind the DAPA program and the extended DACA program that were put in place by President Obama. While it is disappointing that any president would actively seek to subvert U.S. law and the will of Congress, I am glad that you have made sure that they will not take effect.
Thank you for voting for the Verify First Act. It is ridiculous that anyone could oppose legislation preventing illegal aliens from receiving taxpayer-funded tax credits. Benefits such as these encourage illegal aliens to come to the U.S. in the first place.
Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) has introduced the Verify First Act, H.R. 2581, to ensure that illegal aliens cannot qualify for taxpayer-funded health insurance credits.
I am a California voter who wants you to veto SB 54 if it reaches your desk. As Attorney General, you opposed sanctuary cities because you understood the dangers posed by criminal aliens. Those dangers have grown and SB 54 would further shield them from capture and deportation.
I am a California voter who wants you to block passage of SB 54. Preventing police from communicating with ICE about criminal aliens is dangerous and violates federal law. Police may not know what convictions or other offenses are on a person’s record, or who that person really is, unless they communicate with ICE. Do not play politics with our safety and well being.
